RailClamp TVS diodes are designed to protect sensitive electronics from damage or latch-up caused by ESD and electrical overstress. These devices offer ideal board-level protection characteristics, including fast response time, low working voltage and clamping voltage, with no degradation of device performance. The RClamp1221PW provides excellent ESD protection, featuring typically low dynamic resistance, low peak ESD clamping voltage, and high ESD withstand voltage (±10kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2). The low maximum capacitance (0.45pF at VR = 0V) minimizes loading on sensitive circuits. Each device protects one high-speed data line operating at 12 volts. The device is housed in a 2-pin DFN 1.0 × 0.6 × 0.55 mm 2-pin package. The compact package gives designers the flexibility to protect individual lines in applications where array protection is not suitable. The combination of small size and high ESD surge capability makes it ideal for portable applications.
