TPS54335 — 2A synchronous buck converter with 4.5V to 28V input voltage range. This device integrates a low-side switch FET, eliminating the need for an external diode and reducing component count. Efficiency is maximized through integrated 128mΩ and 84mΩ MOSFETs, low IQ, and pulse skipping under light-load conditions. Shutdown supply current can be reduced to 2μA via the enable pin. The buck converter maintains 1.5% reference voltage accuracy over the full temperature range, providing precise regulation for a wide variety of loads. Cycle-by-cycle current limiting on the high-side MOSFET protects the TPS54335 under overload conditions, and a low-side source current limit prevents current runaway for enhanced functionality. The low-side sink current limit turns off the low-side MOSFET to prevent excessive reverse current. Hiccup protection is triggered when an overcurrent condition persists beyond a preset time. Thermal shutdown disables the device when the die temperature exceeds the threshold, and re-enables it after a built-in thermal hiccup interval.
