TPS54424RNVR

The TPS54424 is a fully functional 17V, 4A synchronous step-down DC/DC converter in a 3.5mm x 3.5mm HotRod™ QFN package. This device is specifically optimized for high efficiency and integrates high-side and low-side MOSFETs, making it suitable for small solutions. It further saves space by using peak current mode control (which reduces the number of components) and selecting a high switching frequency (which shrinks the inductor size). Peak current mode control simplifies loop compensation and provides fast transient response. In the event of device overload, the cycle-by-cycle peak current limit function for high-side and low-side pull current limits protects the device. Discontinuous mode limits MOSFET power loss in the event of a short-circuit or continuous overload fault. The power-good monitoring circuit monitors the regulator output. The PGOOD pin is an open-drain output that goes high impedance during output voltage regulation. Unless there is a fault, the internal anti-glitch time prevents the PGOOD pin from being pulled low. The dedicated EN pin can be used to control the regulator on/off and adjust the input under-voltage lockout. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the SS/TRK pin, which supports both independent power supply operation and tracking mode.
