TPS54427 is an adaptive on-time D-CAP2™ mode synchronous buck converter. It helps system designers implement power bus regulator sets for a variety of end equipment through a cost-effective, low component count, low standby current solution. The main control loop employs D-CAP2™ mode control, achieving extremely fast transient response without external compensation components. Proprietary circuitry also enables the device to operate with low ESR output capacitors such as polymer organic semiconductor solid capacitors (POSCAP) or polymer capacitors (SP-CAP), as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The operating input voltage ranges from 4.5V to 18V, with an adjustable output voltage between 0.76V and 7V. The device also features an adjustable soft-start time. Available in an 8-pin DDA package and a 10-pin DRC package, it is designed to operate over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
