The TPS57114C-Q1 is a fully featured 6V, 4A synchronous step-down current-mode converter with two integrated MOSFETs. The TPS57114C-Q1 integrates MOSFETs to minimize external component count through current-mode control implementation, reduces inductor size by enabling switching frequencies up to 2MHz, and minimizes IC footprint with a compact 3mm × 3mm thermally enhanced QFN package, enabling small solution sizes. The TPS57114C-Q1 provides precise regulation with a voltage reference (V_REF) accuracy of ±1% for a wide range of loads across the full operating temperature range. Efficiency is maximized through integrated 12mΩ MOSFETs and a typical quiescent current of 515μA. Using the enable pin, shutdown supply current can be reduced to 5.5μA by entering shutdown mode. The internal UVLO is set at 2.45V, but this threshold can be raised via a resistor network on the enable pin. The soft-start pin controls the output voltage startup ramp. An open-drain power-good signal indicates that the output is within 93% to 107% of the nominal voltage. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the device from damage under overcurrent conditions.
