TPS61093 is a highly integrated, high-reliability 1.2MHz fixed-frequency boost converter. This IC integrates a 20V power switch, input/output isolation switch, and power diode. When the output current exceeds the overload limit, the IC's isolation switch opens to disconnect the output from the input, protecting the IC and input power supply. During shutdown, the isolation switch also disconnects the output from the input to minimize leakage current. When the IC is turned off, the output capacitor discharges to a low voltage level through an internal diode. Additional protection features include cycle-by-cycle 1.1A peak OCP, output OVP, thermal shutdown, and UVLO. The IC has a minimum input voltage of 1.6V and can operate from two alkaline batteries, a single Li-ion cell, or 3.3V and 5V regulated supplies. The output voltage can be boosted up to 17V. The TPS61093 is available in a 2.5mm×2.5mm WSON package with a thermal pad.
