The TPS62097-Q1 is a synchronous buck converter optimized for high-efficiency and noise-sensitive applications. It is primarily designed for high-efficiency conversion across a wide output current range. Under moderate to heavy load conditions, the converter operates in PWM mode and automatically enters a power-save mode at light loads. The switching frequency can be selected in the range of 1.5MHz to 2.5MHz using an external resistor. The iDCS-Control enables low-noise operation at a constant switching frequency in forced PWM mode. To address system power rail requirements, the internal compensation circuit supports a wide variety of external output capacitors with capacitance values greater than 150μF. To control inrush current during startup, the device provides a programmable soft-start function via an external capacitor connected to the SS/TR pin. The SS/TR pin can also be used in a voltage tracking configuration. The device also integrates short-circuit protection, power good, and thermal shutdown functions.
