The TPS6217x device family is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. Devices in this family feature a typical switching frequency of up to 2.25MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and leverage DCS-Control™ topology to provide fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy. With a wide input voltage operating range of 3V to 17V, these devices are well-suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries and 12V intermediate power rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V, supporting up to 0.5A continuous output current (using 100% duty cycle mode). In addition, power sequencing can be implemented by configuring the enable pin and the open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device draws approximately 17μA of quiescent current based on the input voltage (VIN). The device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode under light load conditions, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device is disabled with a supply current of less than 2μA. The device is available in adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, offered in a 2mm×2mm 8-pin WSON package (DSG).
