The TPS6267x series devices are high-frequency synchronous step-down DC-DC converters optimized for small battery-powered applications. The series targets low-power applications, supporting load currents up to 650mA, and allows the use of low-cost chip inductors and capacitors. The wide input voltage range of 2.3V to 4.8V supports applications powered by lithium-ion batteries with an extended voltage range. Multiple fixed output voltage versions are available, ranging from 1.05V to 2.1V. The TPS6267x operates at a controlled 6MHz switching frequency and enters power-save mode operation at light load currents to maintain high efficiency across the full load current range. PFM mode extends battery life by reducing quiescent current to 17μA (typical) during light load operation. For noise-sensitive applications, the device features PWM spread spectrum functionality, delivering a lower-noise regulated output along with reduced input-side noise. These characteristics, combined with high PSRR and AC load regulation performance, make the device well-suited as a replacement for LDO regulators to achieve better power conversion efficiency.
