The TPS62770 is an ultra-small power supply solution for wearable applications, integrating a 370nA ultra-low Iq buck converter, a slew-rate-controlled load switch, and a dual-mode boost converter. The buck converter output voltage is selectable among 1.0V, 1.05V, 1.1V, 1.2V, 1.8V, 1.9V, 2.0V, and 3.0V via three VSEL pins. The output voltage can be changed during operation. In shutdown mode, the buck converter output is pulled to GND. The integrated load switch is internally connected to the buck converter output, with slew rate control during the turn-on phase. When disabled, its output is connected to GND. The dual-mode boost converter can either generate a constant output voltage up to 15V (e.g., PMOLED power supply) or provide a constant output current (e.g., LED backlight power supply). The output voltage is adjustable up to 15V via external resistors, or can be set to a fixed 12V by connecting the FB pin to VIN. The device features 17.7V internal overvoltage protection for FB node open or short-to-ground conditions. It incorporates an internal rectifier and load disconnect function. When used as a constant output current driver, the device can provide PWM to an analog converter, allowing it to scale down the reference voltage proportionally based on the PWM signal duty cycle. The device is available in a compact 16-pin, 0.4mm pitch WCSP package.
