TPS62992-Q1 is a high-efficiency, compact, flexible, and easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter. The selectable switching frequency of 2.5MHz or 1.0MHz supports the use of small inductors and provides fast transient response. The device supports high VOUT accuracy of ±1.5% over the entire operating temperature range, and improves load transient performance through DCS-Control topology. The wide input voltage range of 3V to 10V supports various nominal inputs, such as 9V power rails, single-cell or multi-cell Li-ion batteries, and 5V or 3.3V power rails. The TPS62992-Q1 can automatically enter power save mode at light loads (if auto PFM or PWM is selected) to maintain high efficiency. In addition, to provide high efficiency at very light loads, the device features a low IQ of 4μA (typical). AEE (if enabled) provides high efficiency across VIN, VOUT, and load current ranges. The device includes a MODE/S-CONF pin for configuring internal and external voltage dividers, switching frequency, output voltage discharge, and automatic power save mode or forced PWM operation.
