Overview

The TPS65268-Q1 device contains three synchronous buck converters with a wide input voltage range of 4V to 8V. The converters feature constant-frequency peak current mode control, designed to simplify the application while allowing designers to optimize the system for the target application. The switching frequency is adjustable from 200kHz to 2.3MHz via an external resistor. BUCK1 operates 180° out of phase with BUCK2 and BUCK3 (BUCK2 and BUCK3 operate in phase), minimizing input filter requirements. Each buck converter in the TPS65268-Q1 device operates in forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) under light load conditions to reduce output voltage ripple and improve load transient response. The TPS65268-Q1 device features overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit, and overtemperature protection.
