The TPS84A20 is a simple, easy-to-use integrated power solution that combines a 10A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, an inductor, and passive components in a compact QFN package. This complete power solution requires only three external components, eliminating the need for loop compensation and magnetic component selection. The device is housed in a 10mm×10mm×4.3mm QFN package, which can be easily soldered onto a PCB and enables compact point-of-load designs. It achieves efficiency exceeding 95% with excellent power dissipation capability, featuring a thermal resistance of 13.3°C/W. The TPS84A20 offers the flexibility and feature set of a discrete point-of-load design and is well suited for powering a wide range of ICs and systems. Advanced packaging technology delivers a robust and reliable power solution compatible with standard QFN assembly and test techniques.
