Microchip Technology Inc.'s 23XX04M is a 4-Mbit serial SRAM device. The memory is accessed via a simple SPI-compatible serial bus. Required bus signals include a clock input along with separate data input and data output lines. Access to the device is controlled through a chip select input. In addition, Serial Dual Interface and Serial Quad Interface are supported for applications requiring higher data rates. The device also supports unlimited read and write operations to the memory array.
