CD4066BNSR

The CD4066B device is a quad bilateral switch for analog or digital signal transmission or multiplexing. The device is pin-to-pin compatible with the CD4016B but features a much lower on-state resistance. In addition, the on-state resistance is relatively constant over the full signal input range. The CD4066B contains four bilateral switches, each with an independent control. The control signal simultaneously biases the p- and n-devices on or off in a given switch. The well of the n-channel device in each switch is connected to the input (when the switch is on) or to VSS (when the switch is off). This configuration prevents the threshold voltage of the switching transistors from varying with the input signal, resulting in low on-state resistance over the entire operating signal range. Advantages over single-channel switches include a peak input signal voltage swing equal to the maximum supply voltage and a more constant on-state impedance over the input signal range. However, for sample-and-hold applications, the CD4016B device is recommended. Bidirectional signal transmission via digital control logic
