The DAC856xT, DAC816xT, and DAC756xT devices are 16-bit, 14-bit, and 12-bit low-power voltage-output dual digital-to-analog converters (DACs), respectively. These devices include a 2.5V, 4ppm/°C internal reference, providing a full-scale output voltage range of 2.5V or 5V. This internal reference has an initial accuracy of ±5mV and can source or sink up to 20mA of current at the VREFIN/VREFOUT pins. These devices are monolithic, offering excellent linearity and significantly reducing the harmful transient voltages (glitch pulses) during code-to-code transitions. They use a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 50MHz. This interface is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, Microwire, and digital signal processor (DSP) interfaces. The DACxx62T devices are equipped with a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up and remains at zero scale until a valid code is written to the device, while the DACxx63T powers up at mid-scale. These devices include a power-down feature that reduces the supply current to 550nA (typical) at 5V. This low power consumption, internal reference, and small package size make these devices well-suited for portable, battery-powered applications. Like the DACxx62T devices, the DACxx63T devices are pin-compatible and functionally interchangeable. The entire family is available in VSSOP - 10 and WSON - 10 packages.
