DAC9881SRGET

The DAC9881 is an 18-bit, single-channel voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This device features 18-bit monotonicity, excellent linearity, very low noise, and fast settling time. The on-chip precision output amplifier can achieve rail-to-rail output swing over the full supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. This device supports the standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), which can operate at input data clock frequencies up to 50MHz. The DAC9881 requires an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC channel. This device also incorporates a programmable power-on reset circuit to ensure that the DAC output can power up and remain at zero level or mid-level until a valid code is written. In addition, the DAC9881 can operate in either unipolar straight binary or two's complement mode. The DAC9881 can achieve low-power operation. To further save power, the power-down mode can be entered by accessing the PDN pin, reducing the current consumption to 25μA at 5V. The power consumption is 4mW at 5V and drops to 125μW in power-down mode.
