DRV120APWR

The DRV120 is a PWM current driver designed for solenoids. It is designed to regulate the current using a well - controlled current to ensure activation while reducing power dissipation. The solenoid current ramps up rapidly to ensure the opening of valves or relays. After the initial ramp - up, the solenoid current is maintained at the peak to ensure proper operation. After that, to avoid overheating issues and reduce power dissipation, the current is reduced to a lower holding level. An external capacitor is used to set the duration of the peak current. The peak value of the current ramp, the holding level, and the PWM frequency can be independently set by external resistors. If the default values for the corresponding parameters are suitable for the application, the external setting resistors can be omitted. The DRV120 can be powered by an external power supply ranging from 6V to 28V.
