INA240A1PWR

The INA240 is a voltage-output, current-sense amplifier capable of sensing the voltage drop across a shunt resistor over a wide common-mode voltage range of –4V to 80V, independent of the supply voltage. The negative common-mode voltage allows the device to operate below ground, accommodating the flyback period in typical solenoid applications. Enhanced PWM rejection provides high-level suppression of large common-mode transients (ΔV/Δt) in systems using PWM signals, such as motor drive and solenoid control systems. This feature enables accurate current measurement without introducing large transients or corresponding recovery ripple at the output voltage. The device operates from a single supply of 2.7V to 5.5V with a maximum supply current of 2.4mA. Four fixed gains are available: 20V/V, 50V/V, 100V/V, and 200V/V. The device family employs a zero-drift architecture with low offset, allowing the maximum voltage drop across the shunt resistor to remain below 10mV full scale during current sensing. All versions are rated for an extended operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C and are available in an 8-pin TSSOP package.
