IP6510

IP6510 is a buck converter with integrated synchronous switches, supporting 9 fast-charging output protocols, Type-C output, and USB PD protocol, providing a complete solution for in-vehicle chargers, fast-charging adapters, and smart power strips. The IP6510 features an integrated power MOS with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 32V and an output voltage range of 3V to 12V, capable of delivering up to 18W of output power. It automatically adjusts output voltage and current based on the detected fast-charging protocol. Typical output voltage and current combinations include: 5V@3.1A, 7V@2.4A, 9V@2A, and 12V@1.5A. The buck conversion efficiency of the IP6510 reaches up to 97%. The IP6510 output features CV/CC characteristics: when the output current is below the set value, it operates in CV mode with a constant output voltage; when the output current exceeds the set value, it switches to CC mode with a reduced output voltage. The IP6510 output voltage incorporates a cable compensation function, which increases the output voltage as the output current rises to compensate for voltage drop caused by cable impedance. The IP6510 features a soft-start function to prevent inrush current during startup from affecting input power stability. The IP6510 supports Type-C output and integrates various fast-charging protocols. It can automatically detect the fast-charging protocol supported by the connected device via CC1/CC2 or DP/DM, then automatically adjust the output voltage and current. Supported fast-charging protocols include: DCP (Apple, Samsung, and BC1.2), Qualcomm QC2.0/QC3.0, Huawei FCP, Samsung AFC, and USB PD output protocol. The IP6510 provides multiple protection features, including input overvoltage/undervoltage protection, output overcurrent/overvoltage/undervoltage, and short-circuit protection.
