The MSP430F2132 is an ultra-low-power microcontroller. This architecture, combined with five low-power modes, is optimized for extending battery life in portable measurement applications. The device features a powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and a constant generator that helps achieve maximum coding efficiency. The Digital Controlled Oscillator (DCO) can wake up from a low-power mode to the operating mode in less than 1 µs. The MSP430F2132 has two built-in 16-bit timers, a fast 10-bit analog-to-digital converter with an integrated reference and a Data Transfer Controller (DTC), a comparator, built-in communication capabilities via a general-purpose serial communication interface, and up to 24 input/output (I/O) pins.
