The MSP430FR25x2 series comprises a range of ultra-low-power MSP430™ microcontrollers (MCUs) for capacitive touch sensing. All of them utilize CapTIvate™ touch technology and are suitable for cost-sensitive applications with 1 to 16 capacitive buttons or proximity sensing. The MSP430FR25x2 MCUs are applicable to industrial applications affected by electromagnetic interference, oil, water, and grease, which can create value and achieve high performance. These devices can provide IEC-certified solutions, consuming five times less power than competing solutions in the same category. They support proximity sensing and touch operation through glass, plastic, and metal coatings.
