Overview

TLE92464ED is a flexible monolithic solenoid driver IC designed for linear solenoid control in automatic transmission, electronic stability control, and active suspension applications. The device integrates driver transistors and current sense resistors to minimize external component count. Load current is controlled with less than 1% error. Target current is programmable from 0 to 1500mA with 15-bit resolution. The device supports dither currents up to 1800mA. The dither generator superimposes a triangular or trapezoidal waveform with programmable amplitude, frequency, and shape onto the programmed current setpoint. A 32-bit SPI interface is used to control 4 channels and monitor diagnostic status. SPI communication is protected by 8-bit CRC and a programmable timeout watchdog. An active-low reset input (RESN) disables all channels and resets internal registers to default values. An active-high enable pin (EN) enables or disables output channels without disabling the SPI interface. The fault output pin (FAULTN) can serve as an external interrupt to the MCU when a fault is detected.
