The TLV62130 device is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The device features a typical switching frequency of up to 2.5MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, and provides fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy by utilizing DCS-Control™ topology. This device supports a wide input voltage operating range of 3V to 17V, making it well-suited for systems powered by lithium-ion or other batteries and 12V intermediate power rails. It supports a continuous output current of up to 3A with an output voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V (in 100% duty cycle mode). The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by a soft-start pin, enabling operation from an independent power supply or in a tracking configuration. In addition, power sequencing can be achieved by configuring the enable pin and the open-drain power-good pin. In power save mode, the device draws approximately 19μA of quiescent current relative to VIN. The device automatically and seamlessly enters power save mode at light loads, maintaining high efficiency across the full load range. In shutdown mode, the device turns off and draws less than 2μA during shutdown. The device is available in a 3mm×3mm (RGT) 16-pin VQFN package.
