Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between the reference voltage (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature a typical output impedance of 0.15Ω. The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
