Overview
A precision adjustable voltage reference is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between Vref (approximately 2.5V) and 36V using two external resistors. The device features an output impedance of 0.15 Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. Typical applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off protection.
