TPS54318RTET

The TPS54318 device integrates MOSFETs, implements current mode control to reduce external component count, supports switching frequencies up to 2MHz to minimize inductor size, and features a compact 3mm×3mm thermally enhanced QFN package to minimize device footprint, enabling small-form-factor designs. The TPS54318 is a full-featured 6V, 3A synchronous step-down current mode converter with two integrated MOSFETs. The TPS54318 provides precise regulation with a voltage reference (V_REF) accuracy of ±1% across the full temperature range for a wide variety of loads. Efficiency is maximized through integrated 30mΩ MOSFETs and a typical quiescent current of 350μA. Shutdown mode via the EN pin reduces shutdown supply current to 2μA. UVLO is internally set at 2.6V but can be increased by setting the threshold via a resistor network on the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin. An open-drain power-good signal indicates that the output is within 93% to 107% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the device from damage under overcurrent conditions.
