TPS54418RTET

The TPS54418 device integrates MOSFETs, implements current-mode control to reduce external component count, enables switching frequencies up to 2MHz to minimize inductor size, and uses a compact 3mm×3mm thermally enhanced QFN package to minimize device footprint, enabling small form-factor designs. The TPS54418 is a fully featured 6V, 4A synchronous step-down current-mode converter with two integrated MOSFETs. The TPS54418 provides precise regulation with a voltage reference (V_REF) accuracy of ±1% across the full temperature range for a wide range of loads. Efficiency is maximized through integrated 30mΩ MOSFETs and a typical supply current of 350μA. Shutdown mode via the EN pin reduces shutdown supply current to 2μA. UVLO is internally set at 2.6V but can be raised by setting the threshold through a resistor network on the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin. An open-drain power-good signal indicates the output is within 93% to 107% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the device from damage under overcurrent conditions.
