TPS563240 is an easy-to-use 3A synchronous buck regulator in a SOT-23 package. Peak transient output current reaches 3.5A. These devices are optimized to minimize the number of external components required for operation and to achieve low standby current. This switching regulator employs D-CAP3 mode control to provide fast transient response and supports low ESR output capacitors such as dedicated polymer capacitors and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors without requiring external compensation components. The TPS563240 operates in pulse-skipping mode to maintain high efficiency during light-load operation. With Quiet™ (OOA) mode operation, the TPS563240 keeps Fsw above 25kHz under light-load conditions. The TPS563240 is available in a 6-pin 1.6mm × 2.9mm SOT (DDC) package and is rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
