TPS6208x devices are a family of high-frequency synchronous buck converters. The input voltage range of 2.3V to 6V supports common battery technologies. In addition, the devices are suitable for low-voltage system power rails. The TPS6208x focuses on high-efficiency step-down conversion across a wide output current range. The converter operates in PWM mode at moderate to heavy loads and automatically enters power-save mode under light load conditions, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load current range. To sustain high efficiency at ultra-light or no-load conditions, the device employs a snooze mode with ultra-low quiescent current. This feature is enabled via the MODE pin, extending battery life in battery-powered applications while maintaining minimal standby current to meet green energy standards for low standby current. To meet system power rail requirements, the internal compensation network supports external output capacitors greater than 100μF. The DCS-Control™ architecture delivers excellent load transient performance and output voltage regulation accuracy. The device is available in a 2mm x 2mm WSON package with a thermal pad.
