The TPS6213XA-Q1 is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter optimized for a wide range of applications. The typically 2.5MHz switching frequency allows the use of small inductors, and DCS-Control™ topology provides fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy. With a wide input voltage operating range of 3V to 17V, the device is well suited for systems powered from an intermediate bus rail. The device supports up to 3A continuous output current at output voltages between 0.9V and 6V (when using 100% duty cycle mode). The output voltage startup slew rate is controlled by the soft-start pin, enabling operation as a standalone supply or in a tracking configuration. Power sequencing can also be achieved by configuring the enable and open-drain power-good pins. In power-save mode, the device draws approximately 17μA quiescent current from VIN. At light loads, the device automatically and seamlessly enters power-save mode, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device is turned off with a current consumption below 2μA. The device is available in a 3×3mm (RGT) 16-pin VQFN package.
