The TPS62242-Q1 is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down converter optimized for battery-powered portable applications. It delivers up to 300mA of output current from a single lithium-ion cell, making it well-suited for powering portable applications such as mobile phones and other portable devices. With an input voltage range of 2V to 6V, the device supports applications powered by lithium-ion batteries with an extended voltage range, two- and three-cell alkaline batteries, and 3.3V and 5V input voltage rails. The TPS62242-Q1 operates at a fixed frequency of 2.25MHz and enters a power-save mode at light load currents to maintain high efficiency across the entire load current range. This power-save mode is optimized for low output voltage ripple. In shutdown mode, quiescent current is reduced to less than 1μA. To achieve a small solution size, the TPS62242-Q1 allows the use of small inductors and capacitors. The TPS62242-Q1 is available in a 5-pin TSOT23 package.
