The TPS84210RKG is a simple-to-use integrated power solution that combines a 2A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, an inductor, and passive components in a compact BQFN package. This complete power solution requires only 3 external components, eliminating the need for loop compensation and magnetic component selection. The BQFN package solders easily to a PCB and enables compact point-of-load designs with efficiency exceeding 90% and excellent power dissipation with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of only 12°C/W. The device delivers full-rated 2A output current at an ambient temperature of 85°C with no airflow. The TPS84210 offers the flexibility and feature set of a discrete point-of-load design, making it ideal for powering high-performance DSPs and FPGAs. Advanced packaging technology provides a robust and reliable power solution compatible with standard QFN mounting and test techniques.
