The VS-HFA16TA60CS is an advanced center tap ultrafast recovery diode. Utilizing the latest epitaxial construction and advanced processing techniques, it offers an outstanding combination of characteristics that surpass the performance of any previously available rectifier. The VS-HFA16TA60CS is rated at a basic 600 V with 8 A continuous current per leg, making it especially suitable as a companion diode for IGBTs and MOSFETs. In addition to ultrafast recovery times, the HEXFRED® product line is characterized by extremely low peak recovery current (IRRM) and the absence of "snap-off" tendencies during the tb portion of recovery. These combined HEXFRED characteristics provide designers with a rectifier that delivers lower noise and significantly reduced switching losses in both the diode and the switching transistor. These HEXFRED advantages contribute to significant reductions in snubbing requirements, component count, and heatsink size. The HEXFRED VS-HFA16TA60CS is ideally suited for power supplies and power conversion systems such as inverters, motor drives, and many other similar applications requiring high speed and high efficiency.
